Foundation "Flying Anvil" was awarded with the first "Horses of the World 2012 Special Award".

It was on the occasion of the 52nd CSI at
Geneva-Palexpo (from 6th to 9th December 2012) that the Jury
of our internet site “Horses of the World” made public the
result of the first distinction it has awarded.
The special “Horses of the World 2012” prize was thus
awarded to the Geneva Foundation “Flying Anvil” presided
over by Bernard Duvernay. It is to be pointed out that the
Foundation was present (in a stand) during the complete
competition, and amongst other prestigious exhibitors at
Palexpo. A strong, courageous “initiative” by Bernard
Duvernay who himself greeted the visitors and who wanted to
convey them all the enthusiasm that he gives without account
to the Foundation.
Here is the official Communiqué of the Jury of “Horses of
the World”:
“Horses of the World” wanted to reward the “Flying Anvil”
Foundation for its generous deeds in favour of the horse,
horsemen, and the shoeing-smiths in particular, in the
poorest countries on the planet. It is also recognition for
the President of the “Flying Anvil” Foundation, Bernard
Duvernay, whose commitment, as courageous as original, has
at last been able to constitute an example among his peers,
as among all real friends of Man’s Noblest Conquest.
Therefore, in addition, “Horses of the World” invites all
horse-lovers to support the “Flying Anvil” Foundation’s
action by making a monetary gift, or for professionals who
have the possibility to do it, by participating as monitors
in a shoeing-smith training programme, whether it be in
India, Pakistan or nearer home in Morocco, for example, or
elsewhere in the world where the horse still accompanies man
in the hardest and often most thankless work.
