The King of the sponsors of world show... Jumping / Dressage ... delights the Geneva public of CSI-Palexpo by presenting for the first time in Switzerland its Rolex Grand Slam
As the qualifying events for the Show... Jumping / Dressage ... World Cup are no longer held in Genevy, since this year 2013, the great swiss watchmaking company has offered to Geneva a new event of great international prestige. In fact, by creating the Rolex Grand Slam, a trophy having stages at Aix-la-Chapelle (Germany), Calgary-Spruce Meadows (Canada), and Geneva (Switzerland), the number I sponsor of world world show-... Jumping / Dressage ... is allowing the Geneva venue to conserve a big part of its attraction for the Swiss Romand public who have never blundered at Palexpo. The cradle of great international events sponsored by the giant Rolex, the horse-show of Geneva 2013 attracted 40'000 spectators.
An extraodinary bonus of a million euros
ROLEX has even set up a bonus of a million euros for the first horserider to succeed in winning the Palm and the Laurels of the three Grand Prix of the Rolex Grand Slam in twelve months. Let us state that never in the history of international show-... Jumping / Dressage ... has a rider managed, up to now, to win these events consecutively. Only the Canadian rider Eric Lamaze, in the saddle on Hickstead, has managed to win the best event of these three horse-shows but over a period of several seasons.
Nino des Buissonnets wins the Rolex Grand Prix 2013
But the Brazilian rider Alvaro de Miranda almost spoiled the festival of Steve Guerdat
in front of his public !!!

The Nino des Buissonnets of great days was present at the top event of the show-... Jumping / Dressage ... competition at Geneva 2013. The son of Kannan, aerial on this Sunday afternoon, did not let himself be impressed by Hello Sanctos and his British rider Scott Brash (World Number I), who succeeded however in approaching him dangerously close, as only 32 hundredths of a second separated them after their faultless courses.
We must however salute the sportiveness of the Brazilian rider Alvaro de Miranda who pushed his good AD Rahmannshof’s Bogeno to the limit, and finished penalised by just one fault while achieving the best time for the course !!
Also, how can we ignore the super performance, at this level, of the rider riding for Greece, Athina Onassis de Miranda who finished eleventh in the Grand Prix in the saddle on AD Camille Z, and this in front of numerous riders among the most titled in the world.

Very beautiful success for the Americans at Geneva :
Blue Angel and Willow fill their rider Kent Farrington (USA) with happiness

Kent Farrington (USA) in the saddle on Willow had already won the Credit Suisse Grand Prix run on this Friday 13th of December in Geneva, and he repeated a top class performance on his bay mare Blue Angel in winning the « 3rd Champions’Challenge » (which is called here in Geneva « défi
des champions ». that’s to say another beautiful event which has as
vocation to raise even more the prestige already acquired by the CHI
at Geneva in the calendar of international-horse-shows competitions.
Boyd Exell still unbeaten in Geneva

The performances of the Australian driver Boyd Exell are each time punctuated by the ovations of a public enthused by such skill. Doubtlessly the spectacle offered by the team of the Australian champion during Geneva stage of the World Team Cup also contributes to the popularity of the competition, just like the equestrian spectacles which brighten up the intervals. This year the Republican Guard were the guest stars and they delighted the public of Geneva with a spectacle unprecedented in Switzerland proposing their « Carrousel des Lances » and « Carrousel of both riders and bikers»
