Freddy Knie Jr is the winner of the « Horses of the World Special Award 2015 » for the whole of his career as trainer of horses internationally recognised and a recognition of the exceptional work realised in order to perpetuate the best image of the horse in the heart of the Swiss National Circus.

At the beginning of October 2015, following the presence of the Knie Circus on the Bellerive square in Lausanne, the news of the nomination of Freddy Knie Jr for the « Horses of the World Special Award 2015 » filtered through the social networks. In fact, the members of the Jury designated by the internet site for the election of the winner for the year in course had attended the equestrian show presented by Freddy Knie Jr, and notably a « carrousel » very typical of the equestrian circus acts in which the Knie family have excelled for several decades. The choreography of this horse dance in the ring was exalted by a light show, the brilliance of the orchestra and the great control of Maycol Errani in the middle of about thirty horses in the ring of the big top.
 

Maycol Errani-Knie, trained by Freddy Knie Jr, carried out an extraordinary 2015 tour successfully as an accomplished artist, notably thanks to the most typical equestrian circus act of the Knie family : the famous « carrousel ».

Again this year, the Jury of our internet site made public the designation of the winner of the traditional distinction on the occasion of the CSI-Mercedes of Zürich. Let us recall that this distinction is awarded to a personality or organisation marking the world of the horse.

« It is with great pleasure that we reward for the 2015 edition of the « Horses of the World Special Award », a horseman of undeniable talent among connoisseurs of the equestrian art, a man who is the standard-bearer of a veritable dynasty, recognised and admired all over Switzerland and also beyond these borders. This distinction is awarded to him for both the whole of his career and his accomplished work as a horse trainer without equal, but also knowing that it will honour, beyond the man : Freddy Knie Jr, the precious work of all the collaborators of the Knie Circus whether they be star riders or trainers or simply track and stable men so indispensable for the show ! »

The presenting of the « 2015 Horses of the World Special Award » will take place at Rapperswil on Thursday, 17th March during the first performance of the 2016 Knie Circus tour.
