LA BAMBOLACCIA and the racing stable SCUDERIA SANT ANDREA:
THE PASSION FRUITS
Two of the most important horse breeders of the last years
realize this season a very fine result. Moreover, the breeding
Allevamento La Bambolaccia of the family Ferraris is selling
three of its 8 more expensive yearlings: EVER LB, ELMAC LB,
and EXELON
LB
for a total amount of 275'000 euros.
This breeding of trotters is an example for Europe: the Ferraris
succeeded in selecting a dozen of brood mares among the best
founder in the world, and each autumn they sell their whole male
offsprings without exception, and the main part of the females.
Moreover, the racing stable Scuderia Sant'Andrea is selling three of its offsprings among the 9 more expensive yearlings, ESORDIO, EMPIO, and ELLENIO for a total amount of 244'000 euros. This henceforth prestigious racing stable breeds and sells too nearly all its offsprings. It has been taken back in hand nearly twenty years ago by Piero Eigenmann, a great fanatic of horse breeding and harness races that lives in Milano.

while appearing for the first time, does not create a huge
surprise despite its excellent risults, because as all the PINE
CHIP’s sons available on the european market in artificial
insemination, it is particularly supported by the yearlings’
market.
DEFI D'AUNOU (Armbro Goal - Nesmile-Caprior) is very appreciated too all over Europe. It is the best French stallion of the auctions with the fatherhood of ENOLA GAY PARK, whose mother, LADY LOVE LOBELL, is a SPEEDY SOMOLLI. With already three Italian trotters in 1'14", it is neither surprising if DEFI D'AUNOU is heading the French studhorses among the yearlings best sold.
The biggest surprise comes from LEMON DRA, heir of the breed leader SHARIF DI IESOLO, which does not succeed in pulling ahead of the bunch over 30'000 euros with any of its 17 entrant yearlings. But it is finally not a very significant worth, because probably the other 100 yearlings of the same generation that are claiming the fatherhood of LEMON DRA mostly have owners not avid for parting with them, as they bought them shortly after their birth or even in the belly of their mother. Their would be a good reason for it...!!!
Despite the fact that three of its foals went 1'13" in Italy, SJ'S PHOTO (Photomaker - Sassy Jane - Kawartha Mon Ami) does not reach any record during these auctions. It reachs it ceiling at 44'000 euros with EBRO AS which has yet in JADE'S TIARA (by Crysta's Crown) a luxurious stud mare. In Scandinavia, SJ'S PHOTO is much more in fashion, but it may depends on the only event that it occured as a winner in occasion of the FINLANDIA AJO GRAND PRIX in Helsinki, while it signed in Italy two victories that were not among the more prestigious ones.
