On the picture, ETERNITY IBN NAVARRONE D was lord and master at Paris World Championship 2004 for the great happiness of his Belgian owners.
There is no doubt that the whole of Europe attends this event every year at the “Porte de Versailles” and this is comforting for an economic sector which has been in a crisis state for numerous years. Among the big european horse fairs, Paris has aquired its place alongside the “Fiera di Verona” and the German “Equitana”. At very few other venues have horse championship organisers had the opportunity of assembling as enthusiastic and numerous a public as in Paris. This is why this Arabians championship should become a perennial.

On the picture, SUNDOS AL NASSER was bred in Qatar, a very emergent country in horse-business. Born in 2001, the beautiful filly fullfilled the hopes of Sheikh Ammar Al-Nuaimi.
The initiative of Morocco and the presence of its faithful Ambassador Mr. Amid Abdelhamid of the Royal Stud of Bouznika are to be greeted warmly as the big Arab horse-breeding nations- mainly from the Gulf countries- are succeeding in their efforts to polarise the quality of Arab show-horses. To such a point that, this year, the main absentees were exactly these Middle-East studs with Qatar leading. However, do you remember what would have happened to Swiss watchmaking if firms like SWATCH and the Hayek family notably had not been able to oppose the conquiest of the market by the Japanese during the 70s ? It was these same Japanese who, some years before, had come to learn Swiss know-how . In the same way, Paris must succeed in order to preserve the label “Arabians World Championship”, without which this title may lose its value to the gain of competitions organised in Qatar or in the United Arab Emirates for example. The Paris of horseracing, which takes very good care of its “Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe” knows this very well so that this race does not lose its prestige to the profit of the “Dubai World Cup”, the richest prized race in the world.

On the picture, WN FAWN OBSESSION, International Champion Mare in the major events of the Middle-East represented with dignity Al Khalidiah Stud Farm of saudian prince Khaled bin Sultan, Himself present at Paris Arabian Show.
What more beautiful present for Belgian Arabians breeding could
have been found than to have produced the two World Champions in
the male category !? The Senior World Champion ETERNITY BIN
NAVARRONE D bred by Martine and Paul Despeghel-Van Hee, and the
Junior World Champion NIJEM IBN ETERNITY , also son of the
predecessor, was bred in Belgium by Mr.Smits.
Poland also saw unforgettable glory as the junior champion
PIANISSIMA was presented by its breeder, the Janow Podlaski State
Stud while another national Polish stud, the Michalow State Stud
was magnificently rewarded by the title of Senior Vice-Champion
awarded to EL DORADA.
Qualified as pratically “perfect” by the 5 international judges
with regards to its “type” and its “head” (she won also the Prix
Blancpain ,and the “Ferrero” for the most beautiful head)
PIANISSIMA outclassed her rivals in her class from her first visit
to the qualifying ring, with 469 points before repeating it in the
final with 21 points against 6 for SUNDOS AL NASSER presented by
Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi of the Emirates and bred by
Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani in Qatar.
We must also mention WN FAWN OBSESSION who, not being unknown on
the international scene, in her senior females category did very
well for her Saudi owner, Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.
This mare born in 1998 obtained the same number of qualification
points as the World Vice-Champion LOUBNA . A more than deserved
reward for the Saudi owner who sponsored one of the finals of this
World Championship along with Ajman Stud, Egyptian Arabians
Joseph, and the Racing Equestrian Club of Qatar.

On the picture, NIJEM IBN ETERNITY already Nations Cup Junior Champion and European Junior Champion this season 2004, NIJEM IBN ETERNITY established his reputation with a title of World Junior Champion.
One of the most unforgetable things in this 2004 Championship was doubtlessly Johanna Ullström to whom it would be just to dedicate the title of “best handler”. The young Swedish woman is incontestably a leader in her profession and some horse observers such as Jamil Boukarabila make elogies about her: “this woman is dominant among the best international handlers of the moment. A very great part of the success of the horses that she presented is due to her ! She began with a performance from anthology in front of the judges with NIJEM IBN ETERNITY, performing a fantastic “placer” with no hesitation, in a complete harmony with the horse, as only she has the secret. Later, I saw her correct the bad ear positioning of PESAL as nobody would have known to. Those are details which make all the difference in the level of classification.”.
